Emergency window repair in Manchester
Glass smashed, a pane cracked right across, or a window that won’t close or lock? Call 07893 933403. An emergency glazier is usually with you within 60 minutes across Manchester, at any hour, and there’s no call-out fee.
Keep safe: stay clear of the broken glass, keep children and pets out of the room, and leave pieces still in the frame where they are.
Window emergencies we repair
- Smashed or broken panes after an accident, a break-in or storm debris.
- Cracked glass that could fall out or let the weather in.
- Windows that won’t close or lock, from failed hinges to broken handles and locking gear.
- Glass in doors, including back doors and patio doors.
On the visit
The glazier removes the loose glass, then makes the opening safe: a replacement pane where one can be cut and fitted, or a temporary pane or board where the new glass has to be made to measure. Hinges, handles and locking mechanisms are repaired or replaced so the window shuts and locks. For worn hinges and failed seals on double glazing, see double glazing repair.
What it costs
£89 for the first hour, £45 for each extra half hour, plus parts. No call-out fee, the same rate day or night. More on emergency glazing.
Questions people ask
Can you replace the glass tonight?
Single glazing and some simple panes can often be replaced on the first visit. Double-glazed units are made to measure, so the window is secured with a temporary pane or board that night, and the new unit is fitted once it is made.
My window won't close or lock. Is that an emergency?
If it leaves the house open overnight, yes. A failed hinge, handle or locking mechanism can usually be repaired or made secure on the visit.
How much is an emergency window repair?
There is no call-out fee. It is £89 for the first hour, then £45 for each additional half hour, plus parts, at any time of day or night.
