Can you repair a roof in the rain or at night?
A roofer can usually stop water getting in, by covering the damaged area with a tarpaulin or temporary patch from a safe position. A lasting repair to slates, tiles or a flat roof needs dry, safe conditions, so it may follow once the weather allows.
Water is coming through my ceiling. Is it the roof?
Not always. In heavy rain it often is, but a leaking tank, pipe or bath above can look the same. If it only drips when it rains, it is likely the roof or gutters; if it drips in dry weather, call a plumber.
