Our rates are published. Standard hours and out-of-hours are stated separately, because they are different, and we would rather say so than surprise you. When you ring, you are told the callout figure before anyone leaves the depot, and any parts or further work are quoted before they happen.
Planned work is quoted in writing, free, with no obligation. No estimates that grow, no rate that changes on arrival.

How a job works
The same four steps whether it is two in the morning or a planned Tuesday. Nobody is dispatched until you have said yes to the price.

Call, message or use the finder. A person answers, asks the right questions and tells you what to do while you wait, such as where the stopcock is.

Agree the price
You get the callout and first-hour price on the phone. Nobody is dispatched until you say yes.

Engineer on site
Qualified, insured, in uniform, in a marked van. You see the same name we gave you on the phone.

Fixed, tested, certified
Repaired, tested and left with the paperwork your insurer or landlord needs, with our guarantee on parts and labour.
Why one name for five trades
Most property problems do not arrive neatly labelled. A leak under the bath becomes an electrical fault when it reaches the ceiling light. A break-in needs a locksmith for the door and a glazier for the window. A roof that has let water in for a winter needs a roofer first and a decorator afterwards.
Prime Fix 24/7 exists so that you ring one number and the right person turns up, or two people if the job needs it. Each trade is run by qualified engineers who do only that trade: Gas Safe registered plumbers, NICEIC approved electricians, locksmiths, glaziers and roofers. What they share is a depot in Manchester, a rate card you can read before you call, and a promise that the price you are given on the phone is the price for the callout.

Yes, for emergencies. The line on the emergency page is answered by a person at any hour, every day of the year, and an engineer is dispatched once the price is agreed. Planned work is booked during office hours.
02Do you cover my area?
We cover Manchester, Greater Manchester and north Cheshire. Twelve priority areas, from the city centre out to Altrincham, Hale and Wilmslow, get our fastest response. Elsewhere we give you a realistic arrival time when you ring.
03How do I know what it will cost?
Our rates are on the pricing page. For emergencies, you are told the callout figure before anyone is dispatched. For planned work, we quote in writing with no obligation before we book.
04Are your engineers qualified and vetted?
Every engineer is qualified in their trade, DBS checked, and carries identification. Our plumbers who work on gas are Gas Safe registered and our electricians work under NICEIC approval. See our engineers and accreditations.
