How it works
The clock starts when the engineer arrives. The first hour is £89, which covers most straightforward emergencies: finding the fault and stopping the water, opening the door, making the circuit safe, covering the roof or boarding the window. After the first hour, time is charged in half hours at £45 each. Parts are added at the end, and the engineer tells you what is needed before fitting it.
The same at 3am
There is no night rate, weekend rate or bank holiday rate. Emergencies don’t keep office hours and neither does the price.

Questions people ask
Is it more expensive at night or at the weekend?
No. The rate is the same at 3am on a Sunday as at noon on a Tuesday, and the same on bank holidays.
Is the rate the same for every trade?
Yes. Plumbing, locksmith, electrical, roofing and glazing work are all charged at the same hourly rate.
What counts as parts?
Anything fitted or used up on the job, such as a length of pipe, a valve, a lock cylinder, a pane of glass or a board. The engineer tells you what part is needed before fitting it.
Do you add VAT?
No. PrimeFix247 Ltd is not VAT registered, so the rate is what you pay for the time.
