How we choose them

Every engineer on this page has been through the same process. We check qualifications against the issuing body, not the certificate on the wall: Gas Safe registration for anyone working on gas, NICEIC approval for electrical work, and trade qualifications and time served for locksmiths, glaziers and roofers. We take references from previous employers and speak to them. Every engineer is DBS checked before their first job, and rechecked periodically.

When they arrive, you will know who they are. Engineers wear uniform, drive a marked van and carry a photographic identification badge that names them and their trade. If you have booked through the office, we tell you who is coming before they set off. If someone turns up claiming to be from us without a badge, do not let them in, and ring us.

Each engineer works only in their own trade. A plumber does not have a look at the fuse board, and a locksmith does not reglaze a panel. If a job needs two trades, two engineers attend. Reviews on this site name the engineer as well as the customer, so you can see how a particular person is regarded by the people they have worked for.
