Locked out? Stay put somewhere warm and ring. Non-destructive entry first, always.

Call 07343 065023. We answer around the clock, tell you who is coming and when, and confirm the price before a locksmith is dispatched.
You are outside and the keys are inside. The key has snapped in the cylinder. A door has been forced and will not close. A former tenant or ex-partner still has a key and you cannot sleep until it is dealt with. These are the calls we take at two in the morning, and they are why our locksmiths work in shifts rather than on call-back.
We aim to be with you within 45 minutes across Manchester and the closer parts of Greater Manchester. If you are waiting outside, our guide on being locked out at night covers what to do in the meantime.
Address, what has happened, is anyone inside. A person answers.
Callout and likely parts, agreed before a van moves.
Marked van, photo ID, and we check yours too.
Opened or made safe, new lock if needed, invoice matches the quote.

What happens when you call
Four steps, no surprises.
- Step 1
You call 07343 065023
A person answers, takes the address and asks what has happened. If the property is unsafe to wait in, we say so.
- Step 2
Price confirmed
You are told the callout charge and the likely cost of any parts before a locksmith is dispatched.
- Step 3
Locksmith arrives with ID
In a marked van, within 45 minutes across most of Manchester. Identity and proof of address are checked before any door is opened.
- Step 4
Secured and invoiced
Door opened or made safe, replacement locks fitted from van stock where needed, and an itemised invoice that matches the price you were given.
Getting you in without wrecking the door
Our first approach is always non-destructive. Most lockouts on standard cylinders and nightlatches are opened by picking or bypass, leaving the lock intact. Where a lock must be drilled, we say so first, replace it on the spot from van stock and leave you with new keys.
For break-ins, we secure the property on the same visit and bring in our own glaziers for boarding up if glass has gone. The follow-up repair and the insurance paperwork are covered on our burglary repair page, and our guide on what to do after a break-in walks through the first 24 hours. For everything that can wait until morning, the main Manchester locksmith page has the planned services at daytime rates.

Ask me anythingOn question 01On question 02On question 03On question 04On question 05On question 06On question 07On question 08On question 0901Is the line really answered at night, or is it a call centre?
It is answered by our own dispatch team, who know the engineers and the area. They can tell you what to do in the meantime and give you a real arrival time, not a script.
02How quickly will someone arrive?
Typically within sixty minutes in our twelve priority areas. Elsewhere across Greater Manchester and north Cheshire we tell you a realistic time on the phone. If we cannot meet a time we will say so, not promise and miss it.
03Does an out-of-hours callout cost more?
Yes. Evenings, weekends and bank holidays carry a higher rate than standard hours, and the pricing page says so plainly. What does not change is that you are told the figure before anyone is dispatched.
04What if it turns out not to be an emergency?
We will tell you on the phone if we think it can wait, and what the price difference is. The decision is yours. If you would still like someone tonight, we come.
05How quickly will a locksmith reach me?
Within 45 minutes across Manchester and the nearer parts of Greater Manchester, including Didsbury, Chorlton, Prestwich, Sale and Altrincham. Further out, towards Wilmslow or Bury, we tell you an honest time when you call rather than a hopeful one. The locksmith phones you when leaving the previous job, so you are not standing on the step guessing.
06Do I need to prove I live there?
Yes. Before opening a door we ask for photo identification and something linking you to the address, such as a bank card and a letter inside once the door is open. Tenants can be verified through their landlord or agent by phone. It is a small inconvenience, and it is the reason you can trust that we would not open your door for someone else.
07Will you have to drill the lock?
Usually not. Most nightlatches, mortice locks and standard euro cylinders are opened by picking or bypass and go on working afterwards. Some high-security cylinders and seized mechanisms cannot be opened non-destructively, in which case we tell you before drilling and fit a replacement from van stock on the same visit, with new keys handed over before we leave.
08Is an emergency callout at night more expensive?
Evening, weekend and bank holiday rates are different from daytime rates, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. Both are published on our pricing page. Whatever the hour, we confirm the callout price and the likely cost of any parts before a locksmith is dispatched, so the figure on the invoice is the figure you agreed on the phone.
09The break-in damaged the frame and the glass. Can you deal with all of it?
Yes. The locksmith secures the door on the first visit and, where the frame or glazing is beyond a same-night fix, our own glaziers board up so the property is weather-tight and secure. The permanent repair is then arranged through our burglary repair and make-safe service, with paperwork your insurer will accept.
