Prestwich runs from Victorian terraces near Bury New Road to solid 1930s semis further towards Heaton Park, with a run of flats above the shops along the high street. The shop conversions bring a particular problem: drainage that's shared or interlinked with the commercial unit below, so a blockage upstairs can show up as a problem downstairs and vice versa. The semis, more typical of the area overall, tend to have straightforward copper pipework but bathrooms that have often been re-fitted more than once, sometimes leaving old isolation valves or fittings buried behind newer tiling.
We're around 20 minutes from Prestwich and cover the whole M25 postcode. Liam Brennan covers this area regularly, with Daniel Ashworth available for boiler and larger system work. See taps and toilets for smaller fixture repairs, or the plumbing hub for everything else. Call 07343 065023 for anything that won't wait.
Burst pipe or blocked drain — we cover all of M25 day or night.
Streets like Rectory Lane and the roads off Bury Old Road have a good number of unmodernised bathrooms where the original stopcock and isolation valves are decades old and seize the first time anyone tries to shut them — usually discovered mid-emergency, which is not the ideal moment. Closer to Heaton Park, later-built semis are more straightforward but frequently have an en-suite added to what was originally a single-bathroom house, meaning two outlets competing for the same supply. If a full bathroom repair is what's needed rather than a single fixture, bathrooms and showers covers that.
